We are a family
company and are here because we love airplanes
and working together. We take a lot of pride in
our work and it shows. Quality is the foundation
on which every thing else is built.

Cessna Factory Jig

Our Jig

I like this wing
fixture much better than the Cessna factory jigs,
or "factory style jigs" that are out there.
It has several advantages. It allows me to position
the wing for the most comfortable work positions.
This makes things more efficient and improves quality.
It has more attach points than the Cessna jig. This
helps to insure the proper twist and that it starts
at the proper station. I don't have to worry about
the posts moving, or getting out of plumb, because
on this fixture, they are attached.

We reassemble the
parts into subassemblies, then reassemble the subassemblies
into components like they did at the factory. This
helps avoid unnecessary extra access holes and cherry
maxes rivets. We add only three additional access
holes. Our rule of thumb for Cherry Max rivets is
"if the factory didn't use them, then we don't
either". But, if we do have to use them, we
stock both standard and oversize. We do not oversize
holes unnecessarily.
|
We don't make special repairs, or patch things up.
We put it back to original condition. If a skin
is bad, then we change the whole skin. If a spar
is bad, then we change the whole spar. This keeps
the paperwork simple and helps the aircraft maintain
its value.
